Ethernet RJ45 adapter options

Just curious what Ethernet RJ45 adapter to iPhone options are best for those who already have a CNET cable and are planning to do some coding with BimmerCode?

I live in Canada btw so if possible to suggest Amazon.ca available options.

Thanks

I thought we could only use a WiFi or Bluetooth OBDII port adapter with BimmerCode. An E-SYS cable (OBDII to Ethernet) is needed for coding with a laptop.

Why would you use an Ethernet adapter when BimmerCode uses Bluetooth

Yes I would be using my iPhone (iOS), that's what this adapter is for. So I have a CNET cable plugged in to the standard OBD port (driver side under left foot) which has an Ethernet end piece which would plug into Ethernet port on the adapter, and the other end of the adapter plugs into my iPhone.

I use the CNET cable to tune with BootMod3, and because I already own that cable it's cheaper to just buy an adapter instead of buying the Bluetooth OBDII port adapter if that makes sense.

As you can see on the BimmerCode website, it's option #5 from the top: https://bimmercode.app/adapters/

That makes sense, thank you for explaining the situation. I'm sorry I can't be of more help, I don't have experience with the RJ45 to iPhone cables.

I have the IOS to Ethernet adapter but when I try to use it with my iPhone 6s plus it says "device not recognized by this phone". I can see the ip address when it is plugged in to the cable. I can also see the ip address when I connect to an Ethernet line on my network. Any ideas?

I never ended up getting the Ethernet adapter, I settled on paying a little extra and went with the OBDCheck BLE+, so unfortunately I can't be of much help.

I use a Lightning to RJ45 Ethernet adapter from aliexpress, you can find them also on amazon i think, with iphone Xs. Works much much faster than the bluetooth i had before.
You have to put phone in airplane mode, wait about 10 second for connection with network and it just works superfast for reading and coding.
