Hello everyone!

I have a huge problem! My sunroof is stuck open in the tilt position and it won't budge. I tried reinitializing it by pressing and hold the tilt button.... that didn't work! I also tried closing it manually... that didn't work either! So, I took it apart and found that the little metal gear cog that slides on to the metal spindle on the motor was broke! Has this ever happened to any of you before? Is there anything else I should look out for when trying to repair it? Why would that even happen?

I need some advice!
