How do I set date and time in instrument cluster?

I know you guys are gonna flame me for this, but I was doing some coding on Bimmercode, flashing the M Performance logo on the instrument cluster. When it reset, so did the date and time. The instrument cluster seems to be independent from the iDrive system because the date and time on iDrive is correct.

Were you able to figure it out? I'm running into the same issues after flashing the M Performance logo as well and the date/time are set in iDrive. Am I missing something?

This happened to me yesterday when i did the exact same change. Go in to iDrive time and date settings - disabled the automatic time and date setting, re-enabled the automatic time and date setting and the instrument cluster clock should rectify itself!

If you have navi, you can set this up to auto-set time and date from the GPS satellites.
