Experience with M performance exhaust on F30 330i?

Hi all,

I have a 2017 330i with stock exhaust and I'm considering to replace it with the M performance exhaust to improve the sound a bit.

I have seen some youtube videos but they are mostly from the outside and I'm mostly interested in knowing if there is also some noticeable improvement from inside the cabin (with windows up).

Has anyone experience with this combo and could share his opinion?
Is it worth it (from the inside-cabin point of view)?

Thanks a lot in advance!

The sound is noticeably louder on the inside of the cabin as well

Check out the REMUS exhaust, I think it sounds better.

The cabin is so quiet that it is hard to tell with the windows up inside. I recorded a driving video recently, and with the bit of road noise you can't tell the difference when flipping into sport mode on the M Sport exhaust on my 328i unless you are WOT or have the windows down.

Now, windows down and outside the car, there is a noticeable difference.

DINAN exhaust on my daughters 328i 2017 sounded better then the mp exhaust, but on the f30 340i’s I prefer the mp exhaust over Dinan

People have also started to complain that the DINAN tips - which cannot be replaced - rust.

Thanks for the replies, I finally decided to pull the trigger and I get it mounted next week. I'll let you know what I think about it.

I finally got it fitted yesterday, first impressions are better than I expected.

From outside sounds a lot deeper and louder (lots of crackles when slightly revving in sport/sport+). Also the cold start is way louder.

From the inside, with windows up:
- There is a noticeable deeper and nicer tone when cruising in confort and D (at around 2.000-2.500 rpm or so). This I did not expect and it was a pleasant surprise.
- In sport/sport+ the exhaust pops when upshifting at high rpms are WAY louder.
- Unfortunately, the crackles/burbles from the overrun are still very difficult to hear inside the car. I tried with the rear seats down and then they are easier to hear, but still way less than from outside (when revving in N).

I only did 100km on it, I hope that after a few hundred more the tone improves a bit more. Should I expect noticeable changes after 500-1000 km? Any hope to hear increased burbles/crackles?

I have had mine for a few thousand miles now. Not sure I hear a difference from the day I installed it.
