MPPSK on B58 340i CPO recently purchased
Looking to have the dealer install the MPPSK on a CPO B58 I just purchased with almost 40k miles. Should the plugs and coils be replaced? Not sure if those get replaced or even need to be replaced during the CPO process.

I believe plugs are recommended as a 60K item. Coils do not need to be replaced.

If you have an Autonation BMW dealer nearby, they are running 25% off all parts and labor until 5/17 I believe. Considering how much MPPSK kits usually are, that'll be a very decent 'chunk of change'. Even if your dealer is not Autonation owned/ affiliated, they may still match the promo. I just did this a week ago and got the MPPK installed on my 335i GT.
My car is at 46k and still has some factory warranty remaining before CPO. They found a small oil leak around the valve cover, and replaced the gasket at the same visit. I wouldn't worry about plugs and coils at 40k. If you just bought the car, most likely the dealer had already checked those items. |
