Need help there is a rattle coming from the back right of the cabin.
There seems to be a rattle in the back right somewhere either on the door or seat. I’ve put tape around the door locks and lined it on the shadow line trim put still there seems to be a very faint rattle in the back. I got this car back in December of 2019 cpo.

There's a tool called a mechanic's stethoscope which you can use to pinpoint rattles and squeaks. You'll need to ride in back while someone else drives in order to use the stethoscope to pinpoint the source of the sound.
Try recording the sound with your phone as well; maybe someone can help you pinpoint it. Is it a rattle or a squeal? Is it continuous or does it only happen in certain instances? Is there a way to reproduce it and also to make it stop? |

I had several rattles in my car and one was in the back rear too. It ended up being something between the speaker and second latch point under the rear shelf. I was able to recreate the sound by single, forceful taps on the shelf while sitting in the middle of the back seat. I wedged some foam padding between the shelf and the metal body cross panel and that took care of it.
If it's coming from the door, check your HK speaker covers. One of mine was a little loose and some silicon fixed it. |

If it's still under regular warranty (not CPO) then you can take it back and have the dealership fix it as long as you can reproduce it for them reliably.
I had a rattle in the rear deck and it was the top ISOFIX point covers. I put some foam on it to keep pressure on it so it wouldn't rattle. To see if that's your problem, you could just put a rag or something under the covers so it can't rattle. |

Thanks for all the help. I’m pretty sure that it’s the top lighting console and something in the headliner when I put pressure on the rear light console it would stop I’m not 100 percent sure yet. I will probably take it to bmw and reproduce it for them and get it fixed.
