BimmerLink Available for Android!
Hey, everyone,
I have tried to help a few members out in the past to verify my car's sensor values to compare to theirs as part of diangostics, but it seems most Apple users were using BimmerLink while we did not have an app for Android, so I have been using generic Car Scanner app for my monitoring. However, this presents a problem since each app displays parameters slightly differently (in various units or actual value vs. delta). I have been an avid user of BimmerCode as a good alternative for FDL coding. Not a fan of subscription-based option for Carly, I like a one-time purchase without restrictions. I was browsing the Google Play store last night to see if there are specific apps for BMW, so I can have access to additional sensors. And I noticed that BimmerLink app was now available. The Play Store marks it as an early developer preview, so I am planning to check it out today and share my feedback with the developer. So for any Android users longing to get their hands on BimmerLink, looks like it is now available for us as well. I think we're the crowd that likes customization, so I hope the developer adds additional features into the app, including ability to modify dashboards in offline mode or have a place to access recorded data. Of course, it goes without saying that in no way is BimmerCode able to replace ESYS or BimmerLink replacing ISTA+, however I like to have those on the go, which also gives an ability to monitor active values. My generic app was instrumental in me being able to determine my EGR issue on 328d and bring up to dealer under warranty claim, so I am hopeful this will open more doors as I am an avid DIY'er. Just a heads up. Eugene |

If you want to code weird things like DSC or VDC changes, you cannot do that with bimmercode. Needs to be esys.

I've downloaded Bimmerlink but it says purchase full version for £20.99 even though I've already bought Bimmercode through Google Play Store and still have it on my phone?

Same situation. Im grateful the developer kept working on it and released the app, but sucks to have to pay so much just for a few features that came with the iphone version

My understanding is Bimmercode and Bimmerlink are two separate apps. If you purchased Bimmercode, it won't transfer to Bimmerlink. Likewise, if you bought either or both on iOS, it cannot transfer to Android. I hope Bimmerlink developer works more on this app to make it more customizable. For now, it can read useful info from sensors, yet I find apps like OBD Fusion much more customizable and useful, although it cannot read all codes that Bimmerlink can...

Would anyone know whether this would help code the few things I really would like:
Auto rev-matching off Auto start/stop off (so I don't have to see the stupid light) Current gear (for my 6-spd) Windows auto up with keyfob Change #blinks for turn signal touch ...and maybe disconnect the transfer case as the xDelete app does?

SOS error
I took my BMW 320i 2015 for an MOT which passed without fault but after I got the car back the SOS error appeared so I got the veepeak obd and cleared the error using bimmerlink but when I start the car next time it appears again. Anybody else have experience of this?

I downloaded it. Previously I was using bimmer-tool which I liked. Less info available but it'll time your 0-100km > 100km to 140km> 140km to 180km times. I'm not sure which I like more, but bimmerlink shows much more specific info I have no idea how to read
