Random talk quarantine madness
Random stuff goes here.
Mods, let it fly for a while, this quarantine stuff is making us stir crazy. I have an F31, I like how the rear windows roll all the way down, and the rear glass flips up. We also have 2 cats, 2 rats and an old jack russell, she's a good girl and just in the last years of her life. What random stuff do you have to share? |

I have an f30... I've got a fabspeed cat and wagner FMIC waiting to go on. I was going to pay to have a BMW shop put it on, but now trying to conserve $... I might attempt it myself, but not 100% sure. I have my summer wheels waiting to go back on, but I'm waiting for a slightly warmer weekend to clean them up and Gyeon Rim coat them. Maybe Saturday or Sunday as they both look like it'll be over 50. I have the Tommy L Garage mud flaps and stud kit ready to install as well, so that'll be a half day of cleaning, coating, installing at least.
I have a 12 year old mutt that still acts like a 3 year old most of the time. My sister in law lost her job last week in Nashville so she drove up here to spend time with the wife and I. She made me a killer salad for lunch today.

I was the first BMW Certified Collision Center manager in the US.
I had multiple magazine articles written about me I traded in my E93 because it was leaking oil so badly and got an F33 w/100k less miles and $50 less per month My wife is a Veterinary hospital manager and I would rather have 10 animals than 1 child b/c this world is F'ed up I love to plan trips and vacations and then find every possible reason to not "add to cart" |

I got an F36 I use as a DD.... everyday I start the car the idrive tells me 2700 miles till next oil change...now it say 2300 miles, its counting down... I still have free maintenance from BMW... but with all this lockdown. I don't know if I want to bring it to the dealer for maintenance.
Few months ago somewhere in December, I was planning my vacation...almost bought a plane ticket last January and submit my vacation request to my supervisor.... she already approve just a formal paper work. And this shit pandemic happens. Because I haven't bought ticket and accommodation... I'm free from the hassles of getting those refunded. Anyway I have extra money now.... maybe suspension upgrade. This weekend tho, I give the engine bay some TLC ... it look dirty in there. |

No matter your circumstance - when life feels like it's pushing you around emotionally - that's when you have to step up and push back via self-discipline. Period.

Those are very good accomplishments! And trading in a leaky car for a newy car isn't a bad thing! Thanks for sharing! |

Thanks, I am fortunate for my BMW ties even though I am not working at a BMW dealer anymore. My love is still loyal to the brand that got me so much in life

I am about 5K miles into my 2016 340i x with a total of 86K miles now. Just did plugs, telematics control unit battery, fixed one lighted door sill trim and now need to go back and care for my 96 year old pitb WWII POW dad. When he's stubborn, he uses his status against me!

On the other hand, all my Kid's create sooo much drama, Grand kids always sick, something is always a crisis, Wife gets caught up in the frenzy, as they say, you are only as happy as your saddest child... My happiest moments are my solitude moments that are few and far between. Aggressively driving on a great summer drive, out in the RV with just my Wife cooking over a fire, a Great tasting IPA (Short's Brewery HUMA LUPA LICIOUS or a Deschutes Fresh Squeezed IPA just poured into my glass. I will be able to easily maintain social distancing and not have to sleep in someone else's bed with the RV! Just open up the damn parks!

I work virtually so anywhere can be my office. When it gets busy around the house during the holidays I can sneak off to the public library or hotel lobby. However it’s busy around the house due to Ms. Rona and I am stuck at home. Sucks. Two grown boys; one in college the other a pro baseball player. Both home and they are wrecking my vibes. The wife is a speech language pathologist doing virtual speech lessons for elementary aged kids via zoom.
Drinking and noise canceling headphones helps a little. |
