M240 seat swap in F30
Not sure if this belongs in DIY*
Wanted to show my little weekend project of taking some M240 seats and swapping them in my F30. It is possible just takes swapping out the control modules and the airbags. Overall a fun little project and I guess my 3 series is now a coupe. If anyone is doing a seat swap on an F30 and needs some help feel free to PM me for questions. |

I just put it under the seat itself and bolted it at the rear left location on the drivers seat as I saw some did that on their cars. Then pulled the plastics off the side and was able to route it so you don't have to reach all the way back.

Reason I asked about the seatbelts, when other have asked about doing this, I had pointed out you have to be careful when u move seat forward or back significantly and then put it in the middle that there isnt any slack between where belt is bolted and the plastic that holds it.
Too much slack might make it unsafe in accident. I'm still wondering how safe it is, not that I was looking to do it. |

Yeah I've had the same concern so I'm thinking of another solution currently. So it's just temporary, if anything I'd remove it from the plastic so it always stays taut regardless of seating position
