Bootmod3 Maps

Hey guys! I'm in Massachusetts where we get 93 octane. Naturally, I run a 93 octane map on bootmod3. I'm running stage 1. I did a data log and sent it to PTF and they said that the quality is not good and that I should run 91 map or 91 ACN map instead of 93.

What is the difference between the 2 and which do you guys recommend. I asked them to specify but it's the weekend, and I don't think they do support on the weekend.

What can I expect to happen when I change to 91 map or 91 ACN map? Will performance be better lol. Will it worsen. I have no clue what to expect haha

Any help is appreciated!!

If your 93 map is running poorly, it's probably not giving you all the performance of the 93 map. Switching to the 91 map and running 93 octane will likely have no impact on what you feel, but the engine will have to do less correcting on it's own. Definitely switch to the 91 map if they recommend it. ACN is Arizona California Nevada, which is generally very poor quality gas. If they told you to just switch to 91, do that and then send them another map. Don't over think it

Oh so are you saying that running the 91 octane map will be better for my engine?

And in the email, they said 91 octane or 91 ACN. I just don't know which to choose 😂

What did you notice in terms of how the car was driving with the 93 tune? I might send them my logs just to check and see if everything is ok.

Nothing haha. I just did it to make sure everything is working well. I didn't sense anything was wrong or feel anything. I did it to ensure that the car is working well

This. I had the exact same issue. 91 (not the ACN) will buy you a little margin and youll still have plenty of power... keep running the 93 though. Cleaned my timing right up.

Whats the difference between 91 and 91 ACN? Is 91 ACN really 89?

I believe 91 ACN is garbage quality 91 octane. ACN stands for Arizona, California, Nevada

Well some people got that boost spike compared to the map. I don't have that at the moment on my logs. I'm using 91 oct ots map v4.5. I'm located in Los Angeles, I know people say ACN gas are crappier that other state 91 oct. Just me, I believe there are crooked gas stations who delute there gas with something else.

I keep an eye and I don't go back there ever.
