N54 Fuel Injector Recall! (2013 335is)

I just received a letter stating that the injectors in the N54 have been recalled . Usually, the later N54 models like mine get neglected for some odd reason when it comes to these recalls. This time around we have been blessed. If any of you guys have an N54 with the original injectors I encourage you to call your local dealership to see if your car was on the recall list!

When this first started at the beginning of the year the recall number was 19E-A02 and only 2007-2009's were part of it. This is the second posting of the newer 19E-A03 that I've seen now with the older N54's or is's being part of it. Of course my two local dealerships have no idea of this....

That's BS. I'd go right up there and show them the letter.

I just called the phone number on the bottom of the letter posted above. The gentleman I spoke with was helpful, but I'm not on the list... They are going by vins's and not models or years for their determination on who is covered and who is not. One of my questions was how can a 2013 be covered but not a 2011 when they used the same parts. He could not answer that one. He did provide me with a link though regarding an extended warranty on the fuel injectors. https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/20...50898-9999.pdf It states that they are covered for 10 years or 120,000 miles.

The only other piece of advice he had for me is to schedule a visit to the dealer and pay their $160 diagnostic fee so they can tell me that my 2011's fuel injectors are good until June 2021.... Car was built in May 2011.

The op has not indicated what his “original “ injectors were. It could be different than yours (or mine).

I just put two in mine. My VIN shows up as not being part of the recall. Is there a chance that my CA Lemon Law stamped title is an issue? 2007 335i with a mere 219k

I just checked mine yesterday. They're index 9. Judging by this picture... injector #1 (right) was leaking. Spark plug was completely covered in fuel.

And all of mine are index 9 as well... So again, this methodology by BMW makes absolutely no sense...

Called the 800 number this morning and after 10 minutes of chat with the BMW NA rep I found out that my car is not included on this campaign.

Bummer!

Yea I also tried to call my local dealerships, (Bay Area) said my car doesn't apply to the recall. 2007 e92 335i (made 05/07) so it should qualify but they say they have no word or sign of recall for my car going off of the vin #. Some say it hasn't reached all dealers yet and they haven't updated their systems but I'm starting to think some of us may be out of luck I'm jus my gonna pray I get a letter in the mail sooner or later

I got letters for both airbag and injector recall for 2013 335is. Called my dealer to schedule and she confirmed both were on file. I'm still on factory injectors, which I'm not sure what index # they are. Recently did plugs and coils and no oil leaks so they seem to be still healthy. Will update you on if they will replace or not.

I just checked their website with my vin and it shows 0 recalls. I wonder if the recall was already performed prior to me purchasing the car since i got it from a BMW dealership.
