Going crazy trying to code rear fog lights
So I have installed some F80 LCI rear tail lights and want to code the rear fogs.
I have followed this video 100% and I still get left and right malfunction when I press the rear fog light button. Then I came across this thread saying to change the values under the L and R out puts. So I tried this and the result was no more malfunction but the rear fog lights don’t come on. Instead the rear blinker light on both side stay on. The blinkers blink just fine but curious of everyone’s thoughts on leaving it like this or what am I doing wrong with getting the actual fog light to come on with no errors? Off On |

I can't distinguish the color of your turn signals from the photo but if it's red, it means that is a US-spec taillight, which doesn't have the additional LED array, that makes up the rear fog lighting, as the ECE-spec lights does, since it's not needed in North America.
The coding parameters you're changing is merely just substituted the turn signals function as rear fog lights, thus, rendering them steady burning. Which is fine but they're not exactly rear fogs. However, if you are indeed using ECE taillights and the rear fogs are working but displaying an error, it more than likely just means that you need to remove the incandescent cold and warm bulb checks, to eliminate the error. https://www.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...php?p=25690961 |

Thanks for the reply! The turn signal still works even with them bright like that. The color is bright red. I can definitely see the led fog lights on both sides and I believe they were both on but three codes.
Thanks again for the reply. I can go back in and change the values and see if I can switch it to led. I will take a picture of the led lights that I am talking about for the fogs. |

Hello, how did you light the rear turn signal lights steadily? Can you say the code?[/QUOTE] I used bimmercode to code my car just like in that video I posted but when you doing the rear module and are on the step mapping Nebelsehluss L-Out put you do a custom value of 0x20 and then under the mapping Nebelsehlus R-out put you do a custom value of 0x21. That gave me the steady light when I had the rear fog light on. Hope that makes sense? |

I didn't bother mention that to you because it obviously have no relevance to what you where trying to accomplish but here it is.. https://europeanautosource.com/bmw-l...-3-series.html |

I'm now confuse on how some lights have the LED fog rear light cluster and some do not, as I linked previously. Anyone that figures this out, please share.. |

I am going to stick with I have US spec OEM lights with led fog lights built in The reason I was able to get that solid light to stay on was because I changed the value of the L and R output while coding. |
