Fuel pump failure - when hot

Hello all

I`ve come across a weird issue with my car, which some of you maybe have tried.

I`ve had the car for about a month, with no issues.

Yesterday i drove approx. 70 km, parked the car, turned off the car, and waited maybe 1 minute and then turned it on again.
- but when I did that, it cranked and started for about 5 second and then Said “fuel pump failure engine might turn off” then for the next 7 minutes i weren`t able to turn the car on, just tried cranking the engine with no sign of starting.

I then called the Danish AAA, and when i returned to the car 20 minutes later, it cranked and drove perfectly again.

Then today, I drove 70km again, turned it off and then when my brother looked at it (mechanic) he drove it onto the hydraulic lift, and then the engine suddenly died again. Same issue as yesterday, and suddenly it came to life.

He looked at the connectors to the fuel pump under the rear passenger seats. They seemed fine.
The car got a new HPFP last year in May.
The car is reprogrammed to enable the throttlebody to open 100% like the 330i (done by a well known tuner in Denmark, should not be the issue, but might be)

If anyone is able to help, i would greatly appreciate it.

Additinal info.
When the car was reprogrammed it made 220 HP and 300nm - so there might be some carbon build up or injector problems, since the n53b30 should end around 260 HP with the tune.

Regards Thomas

See if the car will start and run for a few seconds on starting fluid, or carb cleaner.

I would assume it would, when it does this, it does not Sound like it gets any petrol at all.

Like its just cranking, flood mode ish.

But its an intermittent issue.
