9/11 7 years on.
7 years today, man that time has flown. I remember watching it live on Tv after the first plane struck and watching live the 2nd. Was awful, i will never forget it. I cant believe it happened. What a sad day. I think the perpertraitors set it up on the 9th sept. As it reads 9/11, The US number for the emergency services.
satan faces in the smoke, really quite scary. Seen a better vid of these few years ago but catn find it. R.I.P

No I think 9/11 in the 1970's there was a mid east summit signed in Washington or something to that nature I remember hearing that...

I remember the day; I was working at home when it happened. I found it very hard to accept it all. A very sad day.

I remember it well - bizarrely I was working in a military equipment exhibition at Excel.....no business done that day. The only busy stand was the one that had live TV...

There are 2 events that have left me bitter memories - 9/11 and the Dunblane shootings. I can remember sitting in total shock and disbelief at both - Dunblane due to the age and innocence of the victims and 9/11 because it was obviously a world changing event.
Whether 9/11 was an intentional date or not is irrelevant, it was a declaration of war by a group who are not prepared to tackle the West's military and target defenceless civillians. They are also the same group that shout very loadly when their civillians are accidentially hurt in this war!

I remember it well because i was working as Trader for Barclays Capital and some of my colleagues were on the phones to the guys on the top floor at Cantor Fitzgerald. We watched it unfold live as we had control of the tv's near our desks and put them on to CNN...after watching the 2nd tower come down we evacuated and i went to TCR away from the Isle of Dogs.
Lot of people went travelling, gave up their jobs etc. (including me) in the next couple of years as it really hit home how fleeting life it and that there 's more to it than sitting behind a desk 13 hours a day to try and get rich financially. |

I won't ever forget 9/11 - was driving towards Harrods in London when the first tower came down... a few minutes later the entire Brompton Road outside Harrods was a car park as people abandoned their cars to try and find a television to see what was going on... I did the same and went into the electronics department of Harrods in which I think every single person in the entire shop was crowded into, watching events unfold as the second plane went into the tower
I was on the phone to a friend of mine at JP Morgan in London, and I could hear him and his colleagues on a speakerphone call to other friends of ours who were on the 50-something floor of the second WTC tower... I could hear over the phone that they had started to run down the emergency stairs shouting and screaming in utter terror and panic - I don't think I will ever forget that sound of total helplessness, nor will I ever forget that the telephone call to the States went dead just as the second tower started to collapse... We never heard from them again
