4 Series convertible roof leak
On the passenger side, water is getting in to the area above the passenger seat between the headliner and the roof itself. My wife noticed the water pouring [her words] in when I braked suddenly. The headliner on the passenger side doesn't fit as well as it does on the drivers side so I got my hand and found the surfaces to be wet. There is a noticeable draught from this area.
Any ideas what I can do to remedy this? The water ingress, not the draught. |

999rigger the car is 4 years old and is due an oil change in 3k miles and my intention [assuming I remember] is to ask BMW about it.
But as I have just paid to have the rear wings drained of water [the roof drain channels were blocked] and additional holes drilled, I'm not holding out much hope that they will regard it as a warranty item. |

Seems to be a common problem on the convertible BMW sadly. Was going to take it in to BMW but know there charge a stupid price to have a look, something that sounds like a design issue. |

JeffBMW4Series, BMW charged me £174 to look and rectify the problem.
Though time will tell whether the problem has been fixed, though the car doesn't steam up as much now [its been a day since the fix] so the signs are promising |

I had this same issue and this also damaged my HK Amp in the boot. Besides emptying it did they do any further work to prevent this happening in the future? |
