Had my power steering rack replaced and the vehicle reprogrammed. Lost coding but seems come of the coding is still valid.

Most obvious is the LED headlight and foglight coding and the rear fog coding, auto unlock door lock after turning off the ignition, along with changes to the display on the Kombi.

Does anyone know which modules get reprogrammed for a new steering rack? Looks like I need to recode the lights at the FEM module and some for the KOMBI, but wasn't sure what else. FEM, REM, KOMBI, possibly EGS?

you only code EPS module when replacing EPS.

I was hoping he would just code that module, but he didn't. Guess I have to go back and check every coding that I ever did- for those that still work and recode those that aren't working.

Odds are they just updated your entire istep (which you should do every year or two anyway).

Even odder is I spoke with someone yesterday who swapped out the steering rack of a 2012 F30 335i with a much newer steering rack from an 2018 M140i and they did not have to code anything.

when you replace steering rack it works fine in lots of scenarios, but you will get error in ista that EPS is not encoded to your car.

Thank you for the offer. I have the equipment. Just have to invest the time to check all the codes that are currently working and update the ones that no longer do.
