AirSoft just like old times

with the "Official Handgun Thread" in place
i think of bringing back the meomories of cihldhood. i am looking through a couple of website with airsoft bb guns. any recommendations?

i know many will say 'just get the real thing' or 'this is childish' but to me i think its something fun.

what i'm looking for is for a:
pistol,
green gas/red gas,
blowback,
1-1 scale,
and as close to as the original as possible.

http://www.hobbytron.com/AirsoftPist...DGGJE51AB.html
http://www.airsplat.com/Items/GP-KJW-USP-L.htm
http://www.airsplat.com/Items/GP-SA-90521.htm
400 fps with red gas
http://www.airsplat.com/Items/GP-WE-HiCapa-51.htm
anyone still playing with these, or as a sport?

used to own a Colt (something) like 7-8 years ago when still didn't know much of this kind of things. it used green gas, mostly metal and heavy-weighted but didn't have any blowback feature so it was just like point-shoot and wasn't really that much fun, so this time around i think i want a blowback feel.

it all started when my friend, working for SOFTAIR brought home a cheap DMS (i think) MIV replica and we started making targets and shooting in the house, a couple of friends being childish again
then started to think that i should really a better/more expensive one just to fool around with and this does not mean violating any rights.

Get the JG M4-S with the version 2 gearbox. Airsoftgi sells them.

400+ FPS, around $140, amazing quality, AEG fun!

I have two and they kick arse!

Western Arms are the most realistic out there, although they need upgraded valves and recoil/hammer springs to use green gas. They even have the real logos and everything.

BTW, I have real guns as well as airsoft and the both serve their purposes.

We use to shoot birds on the powerlines behind my friends house in jr. high.

My dad use his old school Daisy to shoot cats that keep using the flower beds as their personal liter box.

do you prefer CO2 over green gas?
what's the main difference, cause i haven't used CO2 before. i was thinking that it might be a hassle sometimes when changing the CO2 tubes.

btw, i think i'll rather stick to bb's rather than pellets. i think the pellets are a bit more dangerous around the rouse than bb's

if you want more powerful gun get the co2. green gas can be hard to obtain. i don't think the sporting good store carry them. you have to buy it online. airsoft is safer than the pellet gun.

the like there is only 1 size for CO2 cans right? if i put the CO2 in and like leave it there for a long while, will be 'evaporize'? and approximate how many rounds do a CO2 can last?

1 more thing, can you actually feel the blowback? and is hop up a really important feature when buying a gun?

i think they are standard 12 gm co2. don't leave the co2 for so long or the valve on the gun will be broken and you'll have a leak. as for the rounds, it depends on the gun itself.
you could really feel the blowback of the gun!
for the hop-up, it's very important for long range. the pistols are not adjustable but the AEG are adjustable.

Brings back really bad memories for me lol. When I was younger was playing airsoft at my friends house. He had the shotgun and was like 10ft away at most. We were hiding and shooting at each other. Then all a sudden BAMMMMM get hit right in the damn eye, hurt sooooo f*&king bad. Even though it only hit the eye lid I couldn't see anything from that eye. It was just pure white. Damn now that I think about it if I blinked like a fraction of a second sooner or later if would have hit me straight in the f^&king eye.....after the we decided to wear masks before we play lol.

I wish you guys would stop listing those POS chinese/taiwanese crap guns... see what the world is coming too? with this airsplat shit????

If your in Taiwan, check out the Guarder shop, the owner with the long hair is very nice. Also in Ximending, there's a Guay Guay store with some great gas guns like glocks, etc.

Now if you want to order from abroad and your in Taiwan, I would look to:
www.wgcshop.com
www.dentrinityshop.com
www.uncompany.com

Stateside I'd recommend:
www.airsoftextreme.com (best domestic airsoft retailer in my opinion)
www.airsoftgi.com (moderately priced, but they sell a lot of shit that will break on you're buying)
www.evike.com (massive inventory, but yea shit will break on you; so know what you're buying)

Just to name a few.

Now it looks like your looking at 1911 variants, so I would highly recommend any KSC guns, they are moderately priced, and built like mules, they look good, are mostly metal and perform really well in the field. Western Arms looks pretty but fails really quick and needs high maintenance, and they can't handle greengas/propane stock.

PLEASE DO NOT BUY SOME JG/HFC POS (Piece Of Shit) gun, unless you really don't feel like spending money. I used to airsoft and lot and still want to though my gear isn't with me. Feel free to PM me about anything airsoft, I still keep in touch with it.

My arsenal
Maruzen T96 (version 1)
Marui M4 (fully gutted with guarder MBK, prometheus gears and a G&P RAS, RICO, m203)
2 KSC G19's (best pistols I ever bought)
KSC mk23 (with metal slide and currently looking for a slide catch)
HFC mk23 springer(bought in japan for fun)
bren ten (most awesome gun ever 8mm)
western arms m9 (beautiful gun until the trigger sear broke, so now its full auto =(
