The two-seater includes suspension, brakes and a cooling system that have been specifically tuned for the planned “AMG Ultimate Experience Asia” lifestyle event; plus numerous lightweight construction features which provide exhilarating handling dynamics. The design of the 265-kW/360-hp eight-cylinder roadster is based on the SLK 55 AMG safety car, which ensured maximum safety throughout the 2004 and 2005 Formula 1 seasons.

Love it, I haven't test driven the new SLK yet but after driving their C-class with the manual transmission I was very disappointed so I have been hesitant about even bothering to test drive another manual made by mercedes. I'd say that the c-class manual is probably he worst car I've ever driven and I think even worse than the Saab 9-3 manual.

Nikki: don't let your c-class experience deter you...the SLK350 (6MT or 7AT) is loads of fun to drive. The engine pulls strong and sounds grea and the handling is very agile and communicative...it feels good, just not 100% sold on the looks though (arguably the SLK55 version looks awesome esp in black)
