Need tire advice

Hey guys,

I own a 335is 2012 on (stock suspension)
Just purchased a set of wheels BBS GT-RS 19" specs are below

Fronts 19x8.5 +35
Rears 19x9.5 +40

I'm currently looking into purchasing some tires wondering what would be an ideal spec on tires (I perfer something that would give me good traction) since i do canyon runs.

I would recommend any tires from the Michelin Pilot Sport series. A lot of members swear by the Pilot Super Sports or the Pilot Sport 4S tires.

This should help you out; https://support.apexraceparts.com/hc...-Fitment-Guide

I went with 245/35 and 265/30-19's with the same rim widths as you, but haven't mounted the tires yet.

I have 18’s so it might not be the same... I used to run MPSS tires (just under $1k otd) and switched Firestone Indy 500’s (summer tires) for under $450 otd. While they are not an exact replacement for MPSS... at 50% the cost they are a great compromise. I could only get almost 30k miles on the MPSS tires (wires starting to show on inner of the tire)... but with the Firehawk Indy 500’s I have already exceeded 30k miles and still have a good amount of tread left. I only street drive, no track... But i rotate and do alignment check with the tires on each oil change.

Only issue is when you park the car overnight, you get a flat spot on the tires until you start driving a mile and it goes away. I haven’t noticed the flat spot for a long while since i have put on some miles on the tires tho (but noticed it a lot when new).

The indy 500s are hard to beat for the price. A little more performance would be the extreme contact sports and then the ps4s for the best all around performance

+1 on the Indy 500s. Incredible value on a very competent tire. Can't tell much performance difference compared to MPSS.
