I just got the PS3 today... and Im playing it and thinking to myself, this is not better than the 360, sure it has the Blue-ray DVD but I don't even think Blue-ray is going to make it...and go the way of the DVD-HD. the games are cool but I can get most of them on my 360 and they look the same to me

So as someone that has both the PS3 and the Xbox 360 I cant decide if I want to keep them both or get rid of one, but which one?

on a side note what game(s) are a must for the Ps3? I have GTA4, Guitar hero III and Madden 09...

I don't play many console games. So the PS3 is definitely the better choice for me. Blu-ray, DVD, and the occasional game. Can't beat that for $400. Hell you can hardly buy just a straight up BR player for $400.

However, for hardcore consolers, especially those that play with RL friends, the 360 is a better choice.

Exactly why I bought the PS3. The Blu-Ray is awesome and it gives me the options of playing some games here and there.

The only two reason worth having a PS3 is for the Blur Ray player and GT5.
I don't have a PS3 and probably will not get one either. I enjoy playing Xbox 360 but if your run into a problem with your Xbox console then good luck with the microsoft customer service

I had no problem at all with their customer service. I did get an RROD myself, called them, they asked for my address, sent a box with prepaid UPS, I sent it in, and in less than a week I had my 360 back, good as new.

I have both... but play PS3. (After Fable 2 comes out for 360, I'll either sell it, or hack it and use it that way.)

PS3 is a better system, even though it's taking them FOREVER to come out with software (games) to match their hardware. Blu-Ray is nice if you have a 1080p TV, but the PS3 also plays avi files, so you can just load up data DVD's and play downloaded movies/shows on your tv as well. So even if you get sick of games, it can be set up as part of your entertainment system. Plus it has free online gaming. As far as games go: (xbox is LUCKY ps3 had a rocky start otherwise they wouldn't have lost some of their exclusive titles.) But they still have3 big franchises...

-Metal gear Solid
-Tekken

Xbox is a good system, but unless you're a diehard for any of their exclusives, you can get everything on a PS3. Xbox has a better online interface but you have to pay for it.
Xbox exclusives:
-Forza (only good racing game)
-Gears of War
-Fable (2)
*I would mention halo, but I hate halo. I own a computer and playing a FPS on a console is like bowling with chopsticks. Console FPS are generally terrible, and for people who either never had a computer, or need to play slower games.

Xbox 360 is good for now, but time will favor the PS3.

I voted Wii. But I don't like playing games where you kill each other. Too gory for me...lol

And as far as the Blu Ray is concerned....my father owns a DVD Replication plant in Orange County and he just spent close to $1M getting a Blu Ray line. He has gone from VHS to CDs to DVDs and now to Blu Ray. He has never been wrong. So, I am pretty sure the Blu Ray is here to stay.

Just so you know HD DVD surrendered to Blu-ray a while ago. There will be no more HD DVDs, and only Blu-rays. This is actually pretty old news.

PS3 for the future best games ever, which will be made by Japanese that the Americans (Xbox) will never be able to make. Just give PS3 more time. xD
