I don't know if anyone actually tried it. A lot of people have gone the HPFP route (many threads on this) + upgraded turbo. More bang for your buck, from my understanding.

Over on the N54 Tech forum there is the official Fuel-It Charge Pipe Injection Kit thread with similar questions and Payam claims they have sold over 50 x B58 CPI kits but no results. He said he's going to do his best to try to get some data to share but thinks most people have their cars stored away for the winter.
There is also a thread on B*mmerboost Q.So it's not an issue to inject this before the intercooler ... Thought that might risk having fuel pooling in the intercooler? A.Yes...we believe it can be an issue and advise against injecting fuel pre-IC as a general rule. In our case for the M5, we do run two injectors pre-IC but they are smaller injectors and we run the larger injectors post-IC. In addition under no circumstances do we recommend running pump fuel or low octane fuel on the S63TU pre-IC. The turbos are right there and they get hot. Gasoline's flash point is too low so significant amounts of ethanol or methanol need to be run if injecting pre-IC.

There's a thread about this. I suggest doing an advanced search of the B58 forums (the default is all, I think), and search by title. Not sure what the verdict was last time I read it, but it should provide you with the most info.

Considering HPFP upgrades are affordable now i'd go that route. Less headache, it's pretty much plug and play, better potential, and every cylinder will be getting equal amount of fuel.

I was literally 1 day away from getting my CPI kit but the hpfp deal came up. I still think it's a viable option. Easier to maintain than meth with all the benefits. Modular, helps cool the intake charge and keep the valves clean, and still pretty easy to install. Only downside is some tuners charge more to tune the AIC.

Dude, This is like the 3rd, 4th thread you have made about this? We're on a new platform with new products coming out all the time. Try it for yourself and provide your own data.

This. Every time something comes out, 2 days later people are asking for feedback. Just buy it and try it. The solution is pretty fool proof. I only know of one person that bought the kit, but he was working on getting tuned for it before providing feedback. And now it's winter so a lot of people like me are moving slower with builds.

In next week's news, more CPI threads being started...might as well get the E85 sensor and stick that in your fuel line while you are at it! |

CPI is just similar to running meth. You're just injecting fuel instead of meth and its tapped into your fuel rail rather then going out and buying meth all the time. You're going to see same results give or take, but i would go with the CPI route now that it's available on the market. It's going to lower your fuel trims no doubt and you should be able to run a little more E85.
