Can anyone confirm "Cognac Vernasca Leather" is not available for custom order on an X5 with a 3rd row? Dealer is now trying to upcharge me for another color $1450?

It's not available at this time and will be reintroduced in 2020 along with Tartufo Merino, Canberra Beige Vernasca and other colors.

Out of curiosity if I were to order an X5 with a 3rd row. What is the default interior color option without having an upcharge of $1450?

X5 xLine comes standard with SensaTec upholstery which is NC. When you option 3rd row seating, it automatically adds the following required packages and options:

1. Convenience package- $1050
2. 2-axle air suspension
3. 3rd row seat + air suspension $2,200
4. Vernasca leather - $1450

This package removes the following standard feature or option:

1. Black SensaTec

Net Change - $4,700

TLDR;

You have to upgrade to leather to get 3rd row seating.
