iPod Backup / Format

I am in a bit of a problem here, I have a 5th gen 30GB video iPod and I used to have only PC's but I bought a Mac recently so I try to keep everything in the Mac and would like to have my iPod sync to the Mac, however it says it has Windows format, since I obviously first connected to a PC, si I can't sync it with the Mac,... then my question is,...

How can I back up all the music in my iPod into the Mac, format my iPod to Mac format, and then put the music back into it?

I have a lot of songs on the iPod that I don't have on the Mac and I don't want to loose them.

Any ideas?

just take all of your songs on the pc and make an mp3 cd. load this cd into your mac with i tunes. then reformat your ipod to work with mac. then sync your ipod with the mac.

this is how i would do it but there may be a better, or easier way.

Do you have a home network that you can have the PC and the Mac on simultaneously? If so, just copy your songs over to your new Mac. Deauthorize the account on the PC, import the songs into iTunes on the Mac, zap the iPod and reload it off the Mac. Don't forget to copy over your play lists!

I'm using Aniosoft iTunes Backup to backup my iTunes library. With it, I can easily transfer my music to another new computer and share with my friends! You can have a try! Hope this helps!
