I submitted my rebate request last week and got a note today that BMWCCA completed its review and passed the request onto BMW NA. In a month or two I should get a rebate check.

New members of BMWCCA can pay for a 3 year membership (~180 bucks) and they give you a rebate of $1k after/towards your purchase of a BMW.

If you are not already a member join and pay 3 years dues in advance. That's what I did. The due's totaled $134.00

Then fill out some forms and include your receipt from the dealer, make sure it has the VIN on it. Submit it all and then wait for your $1000.00 check (if you bought an X5). It's a good deal.

You have to be an existing member of the BMW Car Club or purchase a three year membership prior to buying/leasing a new BMW (they usually give a 14 day grace period). The three year membership costs $134 and the amount of the rebate varies depending on the model purchased. As mentioned, the X5 is currently $1k.

Specifically, if you purchase a three-year membership or longer, you immediately meet the membership qualification for the Membership Reward Rebate Program.

You don't get the rebate until after you take delivery and submit rebate application to CCA.

$1500 for 7-8 Series/i8
$1K for 5-6 Series/X5-6
$500 for 3-4 Series/X3-4 on down

I am contemplating between a M550 Ans X5 M50..... can I purchase the three year membership now ? And if I do how much time do I have to wait to apply for the 1k rebate ?

After signing up do I have to wait a certain period of time ? Or can I sign tomorrow and purchase the car next day ?

No waiting period after you join. In fact I think you can join up to 30 days after you join, but check the web site to make sure.

Note, your lease/purchase paperwork must be in the same name as your BMWCCA membership. Also, the rebate will be rejected if car purchase/lease is in a business name. Must be a personal transaction.
