Congrats. I just placed my order yesterday. How long did it take before you received a production number?

Build July 27, ordered 29 production started July 30. Dealers are using first group of allocations for their inventory and just changed options and status to customer sold which gets priority 1. So I got week 32 next week which is the second Build week

Ask CA or call bmwusa for built week assignment. What price did you get from MSRP?

Hi Ray,
Nice build. If I am calculating correctly it looks like you got a 5.7% discount off of MSRP. Are you going to go for the BMWCCA discount? Also did the dealer mention any BMWFS loan rebates? Can you tell me your dealer.
I am going to order an X5 in Florida shortly, that is why I am being so noisy

My MSRP was $72,520.
With incentives and negotiation, I got it down to $68,900 OTD.

BMWCCA how do you join? pay an annual fee and you get $1,000 rebate something like that what's the deal?
Incentives where not released yet when I placed the order, dealers are in North Central Florida.
5.72705241% discount to be exact

Thanks I am pretty happy with it.
Here's my build:
2020 X5 xDrive40i
Phytonic Blue
Coffee Vernasca Leather
Driving Assistance Pro Package
Luxury Seating Package
Premium Package
20" V-spoke wheels
Acoustic Glass
Harmon Kardon sound system
Anthracite Alcantara Headliner
MSRP: $72,520

I cross shopped between 4 local dealerships.
BMW Vista and San Diego countered each other and I ended up going with BMW Vista.

The percent discount has real meaning only if we know the doc fees and and if other fees are added, and whether a trade was involved. A 7% discount off invoice is meaningless if you get $4000-5000 less for your trade.

not sure what post you're referring to but my discount is exclusively off the MSRP does not involve any incentives taxes or fees

Rayshelbygt, did you know that the 2020 models come standard with a Sensatec (stitched) dashboard? You may consider removing the leather dash and saving $850.

Edit: Nevermind. I see your vehicle is at status 150 and can’t be changed.

Nope curious if the top of the doors have the stitching as well.
Hope the leather looks a lot nicer you would think but there I go thinking again

I think the tops of the doors will have the Sensatec as well, but we won’t know for sure until the first 2020s arrive.

My comment was meant as a general statement not related to your specific deal. Some Dealers will give you a large discount off MSRP but get it back by tacking on doc, training, and/or advertising fees, etc. Also, when a trade is involved the important number is the difference between the trade value total cost, not the percent off MSRP.

All good advice as most salesman are snakes! I typically deal with the SM or GM and rarely trade in a car for obvious reasons. Best bet is to use Carvana or sell privately. Knowledge is power.

I'm just building mine right now. Dealer offered a flat 8% off a new 2020 X5. My MSRP is $77820 and it comes out to $71594. With taxes, fees, etc, it came out to $74840. Not including the $1250 loyal rebate or CCA. Should I keep searching for better? I kept asking for the MF and haven't told me yet.

Thank you. What if they have a higher MF? My lease payments on 36/10k with 6.75% tax and ZERO drive off is $1024. I'll see what's the MF they're giving me.

If your MF is marked up more than the current BMWFS super tier MF for August, it's is probably from a number of factors - like your credit score and dealer financing making a profit. MF is negotiable. Insist on base MF, if not negotiate or seek another dealer.

This was BMWFS score rating matrix from back in 2018 and may have changed:

Super Elite/Elite 700+: No rate adder
Standard 675-699: 0.00010 MF adder; 1% on retail APR
Standard Plus 640-674: 0.00030 MF adder; 3% on retail APR
Progressive 601-639: 0.00050 MF adder; 5% on retail APR
Progressive Plus 575-600: 0.00070 MF adder; 7% on retail APR
