First issue in six years
I had the first issue with my e91 in six years, and the first out of warranty. Over the winter, while in storage in my garage in Maine, the windshield cracked. A straight-line 12" on the driver's side, right in the field of view. Found it when I was in Maine for a couple days in March, but I didn't deal with it until a couple weeks ago when I got back for the summer.
Had the local BMW dealer change it with OEM glass. They did a perfect job, can't even tell it was replaced, other than my Umwelt sticker is gone from my Euro Delivery . You can get those online for $30 or so, I might replace it just because it feels like part of the history of the car. Seems weird to not have it there after all these years of always seeing it. They took care of a couple recalls and state inspection while they had it. Pleasantly surprised to find that my glass deductible was $0 - I was expecting this to cost $500. They do the state inspections for free since I bought it from them. So nice to be driving it again - I love my GTI and Fiata in FL, but they are just not QUITE the same thing as a six-speed RWD e91!

I’ve got a 2018 GTI...and I agree...the driving experience of both is so different. The GTI is a blast in the curves but the 335 has effortless thrust...
