Need help finding rubber plug part number

UPDATE: Plug BMW 07147127540 is like a basically perfect fit. When you push it into place it looks exactly identical and takes shape that is why so hard to find by images. It deforms over time.

A big 0.70$! Nice!

Hey I tried looking on real oem under misc body parts but can't seem the spot the proper plug. Here are pics and location in engine bay.

Sealing Cap/Plug page should have it, just have to figure out which one it is; https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...diagId=51_6231

I would search each part number on ECS or google until you find the one that matches.

That's exactly the page I was looking at. Maybe it's a bit different so I will indeed have to look one by one.

Yes I noticed when I wanted to adjust my headlights. I don't know if they are actually needed though... but I would figure it blocks water from going down there but still don't know how required they are but if they're cheap I'll order them on my next parts order.

I found some similar 8mm plugs though they don't specify that they're for the E90. But then again they're just rubber plugs..

Bump I still haven't found these I went through all the PNs. Unless I missed it...

EDIT: Anyone think the plug may originally be round but all these years and heat being in the oval plug hole has deformed it?

If that's your car in the pics, you are also missing the plastic rectangular covers (PN: 51717175267) on the screws that are in line with that plug.

No not my car. But now that you mention that I'm trying to look on other pics and can't spot what you mean?

But I'm just worried regarding water ingress. Like I know the cap isn't water tight seal but if it's there it probably doesn't water to go there time after time? It's a hole that leads right where the headlight adjustment screw is. Can't be good.

I've ran with two of mine off for over a year now in all seasons and haven't noticed any rust buildup. I'd find a working solution just to be safe though.

Hmmm you sure. Mine has a "30" inside and this one shows a "5".

I'll still probably order it if I don't find any others since it's only like 2$.

You could go by a bmw body shop and ask them. They deal with these things all day every day. They might even toss you one for free.

Yah. I'll actually mesure mine to to compare diameters. I guess the measurement they have is measured from the widest part of the smaller?

Dealer told me the PN 07-14-7-128-618 would be but not sure about that. If I google it looks like an adhesive sticked plug.

Yea looking at it the underside is totally wrong on the one I quoted. I checked on the one on my e90 and its square!

This might be a better candidate. I'm judging by the circular indent and rings on top. Funny that it is also at #5 on the list from realoem. https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-...h/07147127540/

or https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-...147127539~oem/

I'll order all these by end of next month with my brake order, they're only between 70 cents and 1$ a piece.

I'll update thread.

Not sure if you got your answer already but those rectangular covers aren't important, just cosmetic. Got my car new and never had those. Although had an accident and the body shop accidentally order those for me when I told them the plug you were looking for was missing on mine so now I do have them.
