Passenger Side Heat
Hi,
Has anyone experienced excessive heat from the passenger side footwell and under steering wheel, there's no heat coming from the vents, feels more like engine heat. Footwells get so hot my girlfriends lip stick and makeup all melt if she leave her bag on the floor also the radio dialog fades because its so hot. Any ideas what it can be? All heat shields look in place under the bay and under the car. 2007 BMW 328XI thanks. |

Need more info.
Are you saying the passenger footwell vents never blow air regardless of how the HVAC control is set? Does the heat feel mostly radiant, or is there airflow associated with it? Are surfaces in the vicinity hot to the touch? What happens if you turn AC on; does the issue go away? Just trying to get a bit more background to rule some things out.

No the vents work fine, the heat is not from the vents. It seems radiant, the center console where radio is become hot, the glove box becomes hot, under the steering wheel becomes hot. Once I turn on the AC everything feels right.
And the front and and rear thumb guides are set to blue, cold at all times. Thanks for the replies. |
