Alternator and battery were recently replaced. The water pump works. Battery connections are all connected properly. Ive searched but cant find a solution other than throwing parts at it.
Airbag light is also on for passenger side air bag. codes are: 2e97 generator 2e84 electric water pump no communication 2ea1 oil stage sensor communication 2e8e intelligent battery sensor communication

2E8E | BSD, message; intelligent battery sensor (IBS): Missing | msv70 2E84 | BSD, message; electric coolant pump: Missing | msv70 2E97 | DME: Generator | msv70 2EA1 | BSD, message; oil condition sensor: Missing | msv70 BSD Interface circuit per TIS: https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/e...rnator/oYPEvM2 So your BSD Interface is O for 4. If there is a disconnection in that circuit, you will get one to ALL of the 4 codes you see, as the DME is NOT able to communicate with those components via the BSD bus. Just like pulling the Cat 5 cable out of the server, or turning off the Router. Since you say the Battery was recently replaced, the BSD Connection (X13895) from the IBS to chassis connector over the Negative Battery Terminal is the most likely suspect. See the following Installation Location of X13895: https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/e90-325i-lim/SQE9rMY I assume you read the codes you posted with a BMW-specific Scan Tool or Software, connected to the DME. You need to connect to the MRS (Multiple Restraint System) Module and see what code you get related to the Airbag and/or Seatbelt warning light(s), or just use Functional Jobs to read ALL codes in all Modules if you have INPA. If you have code 93B2, that means your connector that goes into the BST at the Positive Battery Terminal is loose. See this TIS circuit diagram for BST (G19a) and Installation Location: https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/e...rcuits/foXYCrP https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/e90-325i-lim/S9WWsSN Please let us know what you find, George |
