BMW Performance Air Intake 335i

Anyone got one of these fitted?
Got a quote form BMW dealer to supply and fit...expensive!
Just wondering if anyone has one fitted already and what difference it makes? Tempted to get one anyway...unless evolve have the 335i remap available yet?

think tony has this...

or is getting it anyway... I've certainly been impressed with the BMW performance brakes he's running, very serious looking pieces of kit.

I'm suprised you got the dealer to quote you for the air intake, as it's technically only available for the N52 engine (ie 325/330i) and not as yet for the 335i (which is a completely different shape). It's a real pain in the backside...

The dealer asked for the registration number of the car and used the model details he had for the car to quote on the performance air intake. He did also say they were on back order worldwide and it may be 1-2 months before they could get one!!

BMW Performance Air Intake - 335i

I noticed it's been a couple of years since the last post. What's the latest on the air intake for the 335i. If it's available, what's the part number ?

As E92fan says, they don't make one for the 335i!!

Dealers say a lot of things.

Do you get any improvements in noise/breathing for just swapping the filter out for K&N or similar? The quietness of my engine (330 not 335) is the car's most annoying feature for me. I don't want it to be chav central, but I would like some induction roar when accelerating hard, more like my Alfa V6's had. The GTA in particular would clear pedestrians off the road hundreds of metres ahead if accelerating hard even at low revs, but it was not boomy at all when cruising.

Have you considered the BMW Performance Exhaust?

Since I run my cars to high mileages and make them worthless I'd rather spend as little as possible, and not do anything the insurance company will throw a fit about! Also exhausts make a noise all the time, a good intake system will be quiet except on an open throttle, which is better IMHO for a car I spend up to 7 hours a day in.

If it was more of a toy, then yes I would, but not on an old man auto estate
