19" Wheels too small on G20?

So.. I've been lurking around and saw a lot pictures of the new G20s with the stock 19's. I think they look a but too small? What do you guys think?

Before I purchased a F30 with 19", I thought the 19s would look a little too small on the F30, but it turned out fine... But ya... G20 is bigger... So I don't know anymore lol.

I think the wheel size is great. However the 795m wheels look sick....

They really do look too small because the car is bigger. I think they look okay on my F30, but sometimes I think look to small on my car as well.

I'd have to see an M340i on 20's.

for NY - they are right on. It is bumpy enough on NE roads. any bigger - you will suffer with lower profile tires.

I personally feel that 20s look too big on the 3 series and 19s are about perfect. But this is probably an unpopular opinion

The 19s look fine IMO. I would never get 20s with the roads around here.

I agree. I have seen some photos of cars with 20's, and they look a little too big for me. But, I suspect I am in the minority.

I think it also depends on the wheel design. For some reason I think the 19" 791M's end up looking just a little bigger than the other wheel designs, because they are less complex.

I don't know, This is my car and I think the 19's look big enough?? I got the staggered setup so the rear wheels look nice looking from the rear of the car, nice and wide, but yeah I like the 19's, I think it comes down to colour pattern; like a popular setup is the Blue with the black rims and that colour combo makes those wheels look tiny, it depends tho

19's are fine... Drop it and put beefy tires on in... Loved my f80 with the 18" wheels...

Looks good. But that wheel gap tho... I see that you don't have an Xdrive.

imo 19s are just fine. 20s and you’ll feel every pebble in the road.

I just picked up a G20 tonight, non Msport, well semi picked up. Went in and purchased but car wont be ready till tomorrow so they are delivering it. My car has the 18s so they are definitely too small, albeit with the tires and how they fill the gap, they actually dont look as bad as I expected. The dealer had a G20 with 19s and I thought they were perfect. I want 19s for sure, 20s to me are too big and I dont want the extra weight that comes with 20s. I had OEM 19s on my 2017 540 and upgraded to OEM 20s. They looked great but I noticed a difference in performance because of the weight. With all of that said, the one thing I dont like about the OEM 19s is they are tucked in too far. Needs spacers so they are pushed out to the edges more. Maybe 5 to 10mm. Then they would be perfect.

I think they are not wide enough. Stance looks weak. I know it's not an m3 but 265s on the rear and 245s on the front would look way better.

I do agree with this completely. I think 19s are the perfect diameter but the sizes are just not wide enough. Too narrow.. but also limited by the wheels, 19x8 fronts and 19x8.5 rears....I dont think I have seen 19x9 yet or 19x9.5, which will need to come from aftermarket or once the new M3 comes out, getting some of those and putting them on if the offset will fit.

Don't understand the obsession with 20" wheels with insanely low profile. Might they look better? I guess. But there are substantial driving and practicality downsides that more than outweigh any aesthetic benefit.
