Well JDee....
All I can say is, it was one of my best spirited drives I've had in the long time on an /M. Thks for joining me at Audi Driving Event at Summit Point Motorpark yesterrday....

Cruising down 495 beltway and suddenly hearing a phone tone on the car speaker phone was very High Tech for me coming from e46 M3 ...

Tyson Corner rendevous was a nice coffee break to await the arrival of your mean Black e92

What certainly noteworthy was getting to Dulles Toll Road, because it didnt take very long for the new M3 to get noticed and gather a small devoted enthusiast crowd to tag along.
Its also nice to have safety in nos. driving that road.

thats when the Beast got momentarily unleashed GRRRRRRRRRR!
WOW!!! MF'r that was awesome power as JDee can testify

and soon kept it back legal, while things got better as we hit country
the fresh morning air and sun was just right to start a beautiful day of events waiting over the horizons.

A new day of fresh cars, new tires and a cool tracks .... we knew it couldnt get better than this.

Heres our first full track A4 run of the course after the dreaded long sales pitch and safety briefing.

They didnt go cheap with this events is all I can say. It was just recently that I paid BMW PC of something similar and this is very comparable to it in quality and delivery

Al, that looked like an awesome day! One I regret missing but there will be future events! Did anyone opt of the $500.00 drive the RS4 and R8 portion? How did the new A4 handle?

After that very exhilarating test drive of the new Audi A4 on the track, Audi doesnt short change you by another comparo track run of its competitors namely BMW e328i, Mbenz C250 and Lexus IS 250

Here the competing cars first run ~ that can be also called a 15 sec time trial. lol

Hey! this event this wkend was FREE! yes FREE! the paid $595 event starts Mon-Wed having the whole day with the R8 and RS4 or S5

any DC Metro Lurker! you guys can still make it today before they close!

BCM! try to catch us next for the Mercedes Benz AMG Test Drive event at EuroMotors at Bethesda ... its not as elaborate as this but I'll be hooking up with my e90 guys to test drive the C63

That was the one car I also considered over the M3, glad I didnt though.

the A4 was ok, just ok... I refer the much tigther steering of a e90/92

Yea keep us informed about the mercedes test drive I've always wanted to feel what the hype about the c63 is. Yea I don't think audi's tame A4 can handle the performance of the standard 3 series, the RS4 does come close to the M3 but it's still a heavy car and doesn't feel as agile. BMW and M3 FTW!

we were the only 2 e92 M3 there BC!
... and got most everyones attention as JDee and I arrived coming from the bridge overlooking the event

... quite a few Audi enthusiast thought... we were in enemy territory so we kinda kept low profile
and subtle, it would have been a war invasion if the M3 group was bigger. We're just glad to get out of there alive

I thought about you guys and what you were missing out on. Especially Sang coz he always Shout Out for a drive

pretty sweet that they have the 328, lexus, and merc there to drive as well...shows confidence in their product i guess. but they don't have enough balls to put the a4 against the 335i sedan...haha

anyway, thanks again for the pics. those last couple shots are sweet too.

I'm assuming you're from Delaware? If so, does that make just two of us out of everyone here?

Where'd you get your car from? I've been scheming of a way to have my car licensed in DE (yay black tag!) and avoid the taxes.

got the car locally, paid full tax and looking fwd to pay another Property Tax on it. Its worth it, as they say its the price of admission to play.

thats what most folks say, but they argue that same priced cars are more fair for comparison driving. I didnt care much for the A4. If ever I get an Audi, it maybe the A3 or the TT. We had a blast with it.

Al say Hi to Donnie Iseman, he was my main group instructor and was simply amazing! He also took us on the hot lap with the M5 drifting and I never saw a car like that could move that way!
