Adding performance parts

Quick question. Can a dealer add parts after the car has left the port add add it to the list price? I wanna add some m performance parts but would rather have them residualized than having to pay the whole price. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

You can add port installed accessories if you have your SA put the request in before the car arrives at the port. You can residualize those installed accessories and performance parts if installed at the port, which will then appear on the monroney, if you wait and have the dealer install them you can't residualize them.

So, the only silver lining here is that if you do it after it leaves the port you own the parts.

Anything installed at the port and residualized must be returned on the car when the lease is up.

In my situation, the request for port options/parts was made long before arriving at port, but apparently there was a computer problem where my SA could not add them.
Therefore there were added (or actually are in the process of being added as I type) at the dealership and I am having to pay full cost. Don't think this is correct and it seems like I have been shafted.

Your dealer dropped the ball, but I don't think that they can wrap it into the lease after it leaves the port.

I would tell them that you want the parts at true cost with free install to make up for their mistake.

If that is the case, it needs to be addressed. I'm not paying full price for mods on a lease. How long was the CA's computer down? 4 weeks? No way.

Tell them find a way to residualize it into the lease, or remove some money from the money down up front. If you're putting down 3k, and you have 2k in M parts, tell them subtract the difference.

I had the same problem with some parts. I stood over the Salesperson and the GM and the computer let them add some accessories at the port and some said "Not Available" even though they are on the list of available Port Installed Accessories. They called their BMW contact and were told it may be because it's so late in the model year. They decided to just charge me dealer net cost on the parts we could not add and install them with no labor charge. They can add the cost of these dealer installed parts to the lease so at the end of the day it's basically a wash on cost for the lease.

LOOL

it's just not cool for dealers to try and stiff people. I believe that to be the case here.

You remember that $500 courtesy fee i mentioned that Braman was charging? It is no more..

I am not putting down any money upfront. I don't have a clue why I happened to be the victim of "computer error." SA wouldn't budge on residual but to try to compensate a bit, he did come down slightly on net cap. Still not enough close to having parts residualized.
I guess I can try to sell them come lease end
