Quick E90 Question

So I know BMW has the 328i and the 328xi and the 328i is RWD while the xi is AWD right. But I own a 2009 328i xdrive it has the badges and all and is definitely AWD, how come it isn't a 328xi?

It's the same. They just changed from xi to xdrive in 2008/9. Stupid imo since xdrive sounds super gimmicky.
