How To Install the Brightest LED Angel Eyes

I installed some LUX H8 LED angel eyes and want to share the process with anyone else on the fence about it. Upgrading the angel eye bulbs are one of my favorite appearance modifications you can do for these cars. They’re relatively cheap, easy to install and greatly improve the look of any BMW.

I have the same set in my 135i and they've been holding up great for years. Very white, very bright... I wouldn't go with anything else. If you prefer the guide in written format instead of video, I wrote a complete blog post about it with more photos.

Check it out: https://bmw335i.com/2019/05/31/how-t...35i-330i-328i/

First mod I did on my 2011 335i about a month after I got it. Makes a huge difference!

Very nice writeup.

Am I the only one who actually likes the yellow glow of my AE’s? They’re extremely even, as my car is pre-LCI. It seems they changed bulb/design with LCI causing the inner ring to be much brighter than the outer. I’d be curious if this mod would result in even white lighting with my ‘07. If so, I’d definitely consider it.

I like mine being yellow as well. Its a soft light and stands out in a parking lot full of bright white LEDs when I unlock it and it blends in behind the HID headlights.

Nope, join my club. I thought I was the only one too.
If I go aftermarket; I would get Lux gold, or something "BMW" orange.

Nice video. I actually just upgraded to Lux a couple weeks ago. the previous owner had some cheapo units in there which required him to cut holes in the plastic bulb caps (!) which I believe was letting moisture into the housings and causing condensation to appear on the headlight lens. Since I installed the Lux and taped up those holes, my headlights have been clear! Highly recommend Lux, although I think it would be cool if they offered different colors. I was thinking yellow would be a cool look. Maybe matched with some yellow fogs.

Yeah, the design of the LCI lights is annoying. It looks better, but the uneven angel eye brightness bothers me.

For your pre-LCI, you should keep even brightness across both halos. I'd recommend these for you, you can see the results in their photos: https://bit.ly/2WqUH2R

For anyone that doesn't like the bright white of the angel eyes I just installed, there is another option. LUX sells a color adjustable setup, where you choose the temperature of the light ranging from 5000k to 12000k: https://bit.ly/2HYbdOP
