E93 Cab rear shocks - Whats all the fuss about
Hi all just felt i had to post,
After having lowered my E93 Cab it uncovered that the rear shocks needed replacing. shock (excuse the pun) horror it seems from the few places i asked how much to replace them. ohhhh thats a pain of a job 3.5 hours at least matey. Costs averaging £150 - £250 Why? well you have to have the hard top half open take most of the boot linings out to get to the top bolts... hmmm i thought. well having decided hell no i'm paying those prices... time to dust off the jack and spanners, been a while you know... well 40min later the off side is off without touching the hardtop button and just a few of the boot liners.. added a few pics if anyone is interested. will add few more when the new shock is in.. ok coffee time then back to it. Thanks for taking the time to document the job. New shocks are high on my to-do list, at least I now have an idea of what's involved

I also repaired my ECU when the Mosfet chips failed due to the heavy map i'm running. 6 new upgraded chips cost £20 and careful soldering work. |
