Front plate crackdown
Looks like cops are being asked to enforce this more strictly now. I'm guessing because photo-based systems like the camera speed traps south of seattle and the Good to Go system require front plates and are getting more prolific. Last edited by aftercompletion; 05-28-2019 at 06:42 PM.. |

Seattle has had meter maids giving out front plate tickets for years. They even patrol neighborhood streets looking for expired tabs and no front plates.

Same for Everett. I received ticket there for no front plate when I had my 128i. The only good thing about it was that it was much cheaper than if officer friendly from WSP was to hand you a ticket for the same thing, and no lecture on why I didn't have a front plate.

Not sure about the camera speed traps, but the Good to Go system doesn't need a front plate, at least on the bridges. I get nailed for the crossing fee every time I go over the 520, front plate or no...
