Quickjack 7000slx

Hey guys I just ordered this quickjack for $1299 with 18 months no interest. Plus another $100 if u use the home depot credit card. Making it $1199. I think it's going to make my life easier when working on my ride. Just wanted to pass on the info. Take a look at it and see what you think.

Personally, I'd just set side the amount you'd be paying each month until you have double. Then just buy a proper 4 post lift.

I enjoy working on my car. I was it every week and take the wheels off every 2 weeks to clean off the brake dust. I can now save time with this. Changing oil will be faster. Can't use ramps to well cause the cars ride height. The best thing is when I have to take off my dp to pass smog. I will be able to get under the car easier.

Well, if he wants a lift to do auto work, then a 2-post is better. My opinion of course.

Quickjacks are very popular and useful. Cost, portability, can be used on any flat surface, plenty of other things differentiating them from a 2- or 4-post lift. If it floats your boat, get it!

Agreed. For OPs reasoning 4 post complete waste of money.

I like the quickjacks. I don’t see them blocking much access on most car platforms, but I’ve never used them in person. If they’re reliable and do the job you want them too, than what more can you ask for. Everyone’s situation is different.

These are a great solution for a large number of folks - especially when taking into account their current garage setup.
Many garages don't have the proper concrete flooring (thickness and/or psi) and/or have garage height limitations for the installation of a 2- or 4-post lift.

Seems like a good deal for its intended use.

I hope that I can use these everywhere. They are light easy to move and store. Plus I don't think they cost that much. My time is worth more. I enjoy working on my car but if I can save time that's worth it to me. I will let you guys know next week how I feel.

I have had my Quick Jack 5000 for about a year now and it is great! While it is not a full lift (2- or 4-post) it does allow a lot of possibilities in a situation in which a full lift is just not possible/practical.

I store it under my '99 Corvette. The Corvette did clear the Quick Jack when it was sitting flat on the floor; however, I added some of those triangular, three-wheel mini dollies on either end of the Quick Jacks to make it easier to slide it in and out from under the car so I built a small ramp (5/6 deck boards) to raise the Corvette for clearance.

Makes removing wheels, doing brakes, doing suspension, exhaust, and working underneath much easier than using jacks and stands or ramps.

I do look forward to the day when I can have a garage large enough for a full lift, though. Wife is starting to talk about downsizing the house and I say I'm okay with downsizing the house as long as we upsize the garage.

Another + vote for the QuickJack. I too have the 5000 version as K9Leader above and love it.
If you have space for a bigger/proper lift, sure it's better. But for my 9ft ceiling garage, this is perfect and stores out of the way without taking up precious space that a 2-post portable would.

So just so I know. $1199 with 18 months no interest was a good deal for the 7000 version? I wanted to be able to work on my suv. I'm sure I will pay it off faster but I liked the no interest.

Costco has it for $999.99 shipped right now, though that's the 5,000 lbs version.

I bought mine in March 2018 for $1240 shipped. The Costco deal is very good but it is for the 5000. If you are going to use it on full size SUVs you probably ought to go with the 7000. Mine works great on my E91, Vette, and Subaru Baja (as well as my son's Mazda 6 and my daughter's Mazda 3) but is just a bit too short for my wife's Toyota Venza. There is an extender kit that I may have to pick up for the Venza.

I made a rolling cart for ease of use of the motor and accessories:

Hmmm, $1200 seems kinda high honestly. I can't remember exactly, but my Bend Pack 2 post was only $17/$1800ish. Granted I live a couple hours from their facility and picked it up... and mine had some scratches in the paint so I think they knocked a hundred off or something. Its a 7000lb capacity with a 64" rise and fits in my 10 ft ceilings no problem...

I think they now even make a version that will fit in a garage with 9ft ceilings.

I used it at my friend's garage to do a midpipe job. It's great. Saves the hassle of manual jack and jackstands.
I've a 12 ft high garage yet I have no appetite for a post lift. It's all YMMV.

I'm really note flaming here, but your setup looks like you have to: (1) back the Vette out, (2) pick up and move the wooden planks (nice craftsmanship BTW), (3) separate the Quick Jack so you can drive a car between them, then (4) slide the Quick Jacks under the sides of the car, then (5) hook up the Quick Jack motor and lines, then (6) raise the vehicle?

And that is easier than just using a low-profile, long-reach floor jack and four jackstands? For 25 some odd years, before I had a lift, I worked on my cars, and BMWs especially, with just a floor jack and jackstands and it was less of an orchestration than that. And then you still can only go under the car from the front or back.

No, the center piece of the boards is removable - note the black handles. The boards that the wheels sit on remain in place (but can be removed once the car is in the air if they are in the way of whatever job is being done). If I want to lift the Corvette, I remove the center pieces, reach under with the grabber handles that come with the Quick Jack, roll the Quick Jacks out, pull the dollies off of the ends of the Quick Jacks, position them (easy because I know where they go in relation to the wooden boards the rear wheels are sitting on, and lift. Also, it is possible to use the Quick Jacks perpendicular to the car for side access (although I've never needed to and have not tried it).

Works really well. I find it interesting that so many here will pooh-pooh anything that isn't exactly the way they do it. In a perfect world I would have a 6+ bay garage and a couple of lifts but, for now, I make do with 2 bays and a Quick Jack.

Okay so one step is a bit different as I described it, but I still don't see that as easier than having the correct floor jack and stands. I'm not poo-pooing anything, it obviously works; I just don't see an advantage.

You like it, so that is all that matters.

1300 and the car is barely lifted off the ground.. For less than half of that you could have low profile ramps along with 2 sets of 12 ton jack stands. CLEARANCE for days!!
