Mystery Wire on N54

In replacing my serpentine belt, I hit this bolt that attaches to what it seems like is the engine oil pan. It has a bracket with 4 little legs and a wire. Seems like it's some sort of grounding wire. The bolt snapped, so I'm wondering how critical this is. Car is a 2007 BMW 335xi.
