AC always on at startup

When I start my car the AC is always on and I have to shut if off. How do I set it so the AC is not on at startup...the way a normal car works. Sorry if this is a dumb question.

General consensus here is to leave the ac on for the health of the system.

Don't need to be in expert mode, the OP has HVAC in AUTO mode, and his car is setup for A/C to always run in auto mode as seen in the picture I attached.

My AC remembers last setting. A couple of times it was on though, I could have sworn I turned it off

Yes, something else does trigger the A/C to turn on, I can't remember what it was, it happen on my E92 years ago. Was it defrost ? Can't remember, but now since I coded everything, it never turns on unless I press the A/C button.

What is this a picture of?

So how do I get it to not turn on when I turn on the car? Is this something as simple as going into the idrive?

I put all 3 of those in active and not active and it still comes when it was off at last shutdown. I did the code and it solved the issue

ill check my settings and see how its configured

My standard solution is to take my already-enabled finger and push the "lower the fan speed" button until the A/C is off. No coding required.

The Real Heat has arrived, however, and I am starting to leave it on because I will need it in a very few seconds.
