Idrive questions

I have a 2008 335xi with idrive. However the idrive kinda stinks. Can I hook my phone up to idrive to run maps? Or am i stuck with BMW i drive?

You can get other head units that fit in the idrive area by removing the old system and replacing it I'm pretty sure...

I live in a town called millheim about 25 minutes from there. I'm up there often. How did you know?
