M2 rental in Germany?
So I am thinking of renting either an M2, M4 or i8 for a few days while I am in Germany. I'll be doing some sight seeing and then spending some time on the autobahns and curvy, scenic roads.
I will have another passenger and we'll have 2 large suitcases (50 lbs each) and then 2 carry-on bags. I don't mind putting luggage on the back seat, folding the rear seats down, etc. As long as the luggage fits securely without impacting any driving, I don't care. The M2 rental is the cheapest, the M4 is about $150 more, the i8 is about $250-300 more. I would ideally want a car that can carry all my luggage, is fun to drive, and has a good top speed. I rented an F80 M3 Sedan the last time I was in Germany, and ended up pushing it to 275 KPMH What would this group recommend and why? |

Where are you getting the rental from? As to what car fits your luggage, the i8 should immediately be disqualified as storage space is lacking compared to the others.
Storage size I would rank them M4 - M2 - i8. M4 and M2 will require at least one of your carryons if not both to be in the backseat.

Just came back from Munich last Thursday.
I fly to Munich or Frankfurt twice a year for the same purpose. It is great to drive in Germany because of the Autobahns and also because of the driving culture which I adore. At home I drive an M2 so when I get there I always rent faster cars. As one the above mentioned, the M4 will have the largest boot but I'm not sure it'll be the most fun to drive. I would bet on the M2 as the most fun to drive but I can't really tell as I haven't driven on the other two. Only from I have seen on youtube and read. Have a nice trip! |

It's not a known one. It's a guy I know. This is his facebook:
https://www.facebook.com/DegaAutoGmbh/ At least as much as I know, he doesn't own cars such as M2. I think that his cheapest car is a BMW 640i. As for BMW M2, I saw that sixt Germany has one. If you need additional info on Dega or other car rental options, let me know. I have no business there. I'm a customer like you. Just checked a few options before the first time I've been there. |

Sixt in Munich will let you do this. Father is joining us on our ED and renting one.

Rent from BMW on Demand at the Welt. I'd get the biggest fastest sedan, M5 comp if they have it. I rented a M2C when I did euro ED, it was boring.

BMW in Demand is much more restrictive and much more expensive than Sixt for a longer term stay (week or so).
