led lights
hi guys i wonder if one of you chaps can answer a question for me, if i fit led dipped headlights but keep my halogens in for main beam, can i just program the dipped headlights so i don't get an error with them, or is it not possible to only do certain lights' do have bimmercode and a dongle but have not used it properly,so im a bit unsure on how to navigate it.
thanks for your help simon |

LED bulbs in halogen reflector light units will fail an MOT as the beam pattern will be wrong
I think you can code out the light checks for the low beams so yes, you can make it work if you really want to dazzle everyone else |

LED side light/running lights are ok for MOT (I had them in my old F30 for several years) but main beam/headlights will fail.

I would stick with halogen and look at Osram Night Breakers or the Philips equivalent - these bulbs are much brighter and whiter than stock & good enough... Not used them on BMWs as always had Xenons once they were available and now Icons but got good results with both on other cars... As has been said LEDs are likely to cause issues...
