Hello,

I'm buying M muffler with chrome tips from someone who has resonator delete, down pipe and JB4, the car does very loud burbles with sparks, I wonder if that damage the muffler that I'm buying from him?

It shouldn't void the warranty, correct?

I think he has it for 3 years or less because it's a lease vehicle.

How can I know if it's M muffler, does it have any sign on it?

I'm paying $800

Please advice.

Thanks in advance
Zeyad

I haven't owned one personally, but there should be a stamp on the muffler itself that faces downwards and the tips should have the //M logos on them. From a rigidity standpoint it should be fine. I believe there are parts internally that can come lose, but if it sounds fine from his car I can't see any issues aside from excessive vibrations (which the rubber mounts help to mitigate).

$800 for used MPerf exhaust = too much $$

You can get a brand new one from a BMW dealer on ebay for $850 & free shipping:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Genuine-BMW...53.m1438.l2649

That's where I got mine - quik shipping, everything perfect

Of course you will need to get yourself a set of tips. The muffler DOES come with new exhaust valve on DS

Yup. I ended up buying it online.

By the way, when i do fast acceleration i hear something like whistle or like turbo sucking air when it reaches 5 rpm, it's not really noticeable but I'm not sure if that's normal or not?

Thanks

Haha. Thanks.

Yes, I'm planning to add the air intake to it but i have a feeling that the intake will not be good without tuning.

I have a CTS Turbo Intake and I didn't change anything from a tune aspect, its a negligible gain in hp, mainly for the sounds. I smile every time I hit the gas!
