Re-gapping plugs for MP flash
Can someone tell me why it is that we're recommended to re-gap plugs to 0.022 on the Alex's MP flash? I went ahead and replaced the plugs with OE plugs. 21k plugs on the originals and they still looked fine. I've noticed a cleaner pull but I'm feeling sort of less violent WOT hit. I've also noticed the car heat soaking "easier" than with the previous OE gap. Any insight? Thanks folks!

As you turn up the boost and run richer fuel mixtures, you want a more intense spark, which is achieved by closing the gap slightly. It's probably a safe "recommendation" but you're probably fine on stock plugs. May just need to replace them sooner. Ours are already 1-step colder than N55/N54.

Yeah, OEM plugs should be fine, but they do tend to need replacing sooner with a tune. I started to get stumbling around 27k (JB4 installed at 1200 miles). I went with OEM plugs at stock gap (.027 IIRC) and it cleaned the stumbling right up. And G-Newt is correct; our stock plugs are already one step colder than N54/55. A lot of people seem to think the NGK 97506 is two steps colder than our stock plugs, but in reality it's only one step colder.
