The 320d beat the Merc and Audi in a group test which is good and bodes well for the more interesting engines.

I think it looks good. Most likely better in the metal/plastic. I've always thought the black grills pretty much went with any colour previously and I can't see why not this time around.

ETTO though.

New X5 and X7 grill changes = 2 man job you think?

They do open when required. Closed for faster warm up times, more efficient and less polluting emissions.

Plus (IMO) the grilles are now too big to look right in black, particularly with some colours.

Since the facelift 7 was revealed the G30 grilles look normal.
