2008 E92 M3 Silverstone II
Sadly, after a change in circumstances, I’m having to let my E92 go to someone who can enjoy it as much as I have.
Car is a 2008 Car, sitting on approximately 106,000 miles. Original number plate is YG08 KNE. Car is currently on my private registration which I will remove when it’s sold. She's a manual so you’ll have to work the car a bit and get involved. It doesn’t have EDC, but after diving both and EDC and non-EDC car, I don’t feel I’ve missed out (and it’s one less thing to go wrong / makes the move to aftermarket coilovers cheaper). Sits on 18” 260M wheels, all with Michelin Pilot SuperSport tyres (all with about 5mm+ tread). This is an ideal combo with the non-EDC shocks, as the additional tyre height adds a bit more cushioning to the stiffer suspension setup. Factory Order Details: Type code WD92 Type M3 (EUR) Dev. series E92 (M3) Body type COUPE Steering RL Engine S65 Power 309 Transmission HECK Gearbox MECH Colour SILVERSTONE II METALLIC (A29) Upholstery ERW.LE.NOVILLO/H1 PALLADIUMSILBER (NDH1) Order option No. Description 1CA SELECTION COP RELEVANT VEHICLES 1CB CO2 CONTENT 1CD BRAKE ENERGY REGENERATION 2MD M DRIVE 2PA LOCKING WHEEL BOLTS 302 ALARM SYSTEM 313 EXTERIOR MIRROR PACKAGE 4AE ARMREST FRONT RETRACTABLE 423 FLOOR MATS, VELOUR 428 WARNING TRIANGLE 441 SMOKERS PACKAGE 464 SKIBAG 470 CHILD SEAT ISOFIX ATTACHMENT 490 SEAT BACK WIDTH ADJUSTMENT 494 SEAT HEATING F DRIVER/FRONT PASSENGER 507 PARK DISTANCE CONTROL (PDC), REAR 521 RAIN SENSOR 563 LIGHTS PACKAGE 609 NAVIGATION SYSTEM PROFESSIONAL 612 BMW ASSIST 616 BMW ONLINE 620 VOICE INPUT SYSTEM 633 PREP.MOB. This is a mixture of BMW and local independent (ex BMW mechanic). I’ve also done lots of intermediate servicing myself, with the help of my tame mechanic. The following items have been changed as replacement / preventative measures to ensure long time hassle free motoring. Rod bearings (replaced with BE Bearingas and ARP bolts by Aaron Reeve Performance) ABS pump (replaced with an ECS tuning refurbished unit) 2x throttle actuators (replaced with Rebuild.co.uk units) Air con recently re-gassed In addition, I’ve added a few modifications in the time I’ve had it. Ferrodo DS2500 front brake pads (new) F10 M5 gearknob and gaitor (shorter heavier throw) New velour mats with M stitching Squirrel Performance 2pipe back box mod Retrimmed steering wheel (Jack Royal Royal retrimmers) Facelift rear lights (coded in) Various other bits of coding (lights on with key etc) Carbon front splitters Bimmecc Spacers (15mm front 12mm rear.) Car then Geo'd with them on. M3Powerboy Interior LED kit Osram Xenarc Nightbreaker Laser headlight bulbs (much longer light throw than OE bulbs) CIC iDrive unit retrofitted. All coding performed by AlpinaIan from M3Cutters Motul RBF660 brake fluid Recently replaced engine mounts Set of Logic7 tweeters added to door surrounds, to enhance the stereo performance (genuinely makes a difference, considering it’s so small!) Also have a set of Performance Friction 2-piece front discs and a set of Pagid RS29 front pads, should they be wanted. (This combo is incredible on track, using the OE calliper) Car recently went into BMW for recalls. Standard healthcheck on the car was performed whilst there and reported back that there were no issues. Service Advisor commented on how well the car had been kept, considering its age. Can also do a walk around for anyone coming from a distance using facetime etc (if you can cope with my voice!) MOT until July 2019. Happy to put 12 months on for new owner for peace of mind. There are a few stone chips on the front of the car as to be expected of its age, small bit of wear on driver seat (again not surprising considering it’s 10years old). One of the Carbon splitters has a mall crack in it from a stone, but these are cheap to replace. The rest of car is in really good shape. Rear suspension components were recently removed for inspection, with no sign of wear and no leaky shocks anywhere on the car. The Silverstone II paint seems to change shades depending on the light and looks great in the sun. The carbon fibre roof, carbon splitters and anthracite wheels really give the car presence on the road. The Palladium Silver / Anthracite interior really sets off the exterior colour of the car and is a great combo (IMO) with Silverstone. Looking for £13,000 |

Very nice car.. one can only imagine what that drives like being a owner of a baby 320i
Its mind boggling that BMW ask £60k for this car but does not supply a premium sound system. I guess you don't need any music when you can enjoy the sweet sound of the V8 |

I’m not surprised. Well done. Would have been perfect for me if my finances had been a bit better and my 330d wasn’t such a great all rounder. What’s replacing it?

Thanks. Didn’t get exactly what I wanted, but got enough to clear what it owes me.
I’ve managed to get a superb PCP deal on a new M140i shadow edition. |
