It's a permanent 3 as far as I know. I don't know if there is some kind of hack to exploit the software.

Ok. How does refreshing a licence work? Is that something i would be able to do myself if i decide to sell later on etc?

I can do it or you can by contacting them directly. I have already used 2 licenses. You are only allowed to refresh once. So that makes 6 licenses for the lifetime. Unless someone can pay to unlocking more licenses or as said alter the software in someway. Technically there would be 4 licenses.
