Thanks for sharing. Is it accurate to say the sound gets progressively more obvious when RPMs increase?
The good news: the warranty is still in effect. It's very difficult to suggest anything definitive. It could be as simple as something being loose. Please ask the SA to do oil analysis which will tell if there is evidence of excessive amount of metal particles. Most dealers will not do this procedures during the first diagnostic attempt. Please insist. There is a remote possibility that some component could be wearing out prematurely. Small percentage of N55 engines (your engine is B58) was affected by excessive connecting rod bearing wear. Oil analysis performed by the dealer confirmed excessive rod bearing wear. Good luck! Warranty is there for you. Please update this thread when you can. |

Thanks for the update. The dealer did everything right including performing oil analysis.

Glad it is resolved properly.
First case I have heard of with the newer B58 engine.
