Exhaust flap rattle???

What is this strange exhaust rattle and how do I fix it? I believe it has to do with the exhaust butterfly valve, you can see it in the exhaust hole right? Much help would be appreciated.

The way i fixed it was to take out the spring, disconnect the plugs and wire it open.

Down the road I plan on throwing an aftermarket exhaust on her. Any suggestions? It's a 2013 328i xDrive n26.

I had the same issue. Turns out a spring that controls the exhaust valve had fallen out. Easy repair.

Ya know, there's a sticky thread right up at the top (third on my view) that talks all about this subject. Perhaps you could read it?
